“ Valet parking. Beautiful place. Great weekend menu for brunch or lunch. We were a party of 5. Started with a margarita pizza which was good. I had smoked salmon bagel and cream cheese. Very generous portion of salmon just wish there was a choice of bagels. Had just plain Beef sliders, filet mignon sliders, lemon ricotta pancakes. Everyone loved what they ordered. My favorite was the donuts with chocolate and vanilla sauce Also shared the coconut cake. Delicious decaf cappuccino. Good service. They don't rush you out. ”

“ My first time, but not my wife's, we were five at a round table upstairs. Very dimly lit room - our table little candle flame in a shot glass. We had reservations for Thanksgiving, there was well managed valet parking for the crowd, and we were taken to our table on time. Four of us ordered from the prix fixe menu (posted) and they all enjoyed it. I ordered halibut off the regular dinner menu and also thought it was nicely prepared (with heirloom tomatoes) - it was like a soft swordfish steak - my baked potato was a la carte. It's pricy, but so far, so good. We'll be back. ”

“ Two words: Wagyu Steak! That's a must try. It was simply plated with a bulb of roasted garlic and a sprig of rosemary. You need nothing else but of course sides -- we ordered three sides for the table (and more entrees, I'll get to that). - creamed spinach (it was creamy and surprisingly not heavy) - hash brown potatoes (super crispy top, almost too crispy) but totally enjoyed the potatoes once I got through the top. - roasted brussel sprouts (a little too roasted as they were almost charred black but good flavor, I just would have liked it more green still) Other entrees: braised beef short ribs served with mashed potatoes and some watercress. These were really fork tender and paired well with the buttery mashed potatoes. Well seasoned. I enjoyed it. - My kiddo ordered the cheeseburger sliders served with French fries. Three sliders come in one order. FYI. Fries were on point! Burgers were a tad dry. Appetizer of the night: roasted bone marrow. Two bones in the order, sliced and served with a shallot marmalade and toasted baguettes. The shallot marmalade was nothing special to note but I tasted it to try it. Even tried it with the marrow...nope. Best to eat the marrow by itself or use the baguette to soak up all that gooey juice and oil. LOL Overall waiter service was meh. He was smiling and friendly but didn't see him much. Other support staff was okay - did their tasks as needed (cleaned the table, cleared plates, but sadly I had to ask three times for a refill on our water). No one checked on us. Tsk tsk for a restaurant of this caliber, I expected more service. Also, my Reisling was served quite chilled.. and not poured tableside. (Why?!) So I obviously got an old bottle probably opened for a while. Never saw the label which I usually like to see. Speaking of chilled, so was the restaurant. Too cold for an enjoyable meal... especially concerning if your food gets cold. While I did enjoy my food overall, there is definitely room for improvement. I was hoping for a five star experience especially since I'm quite familiar with the restaurant group and love the other affiliated restaurants. ”

“ I came here while on a work trip which is why I chose such an expensive place. It was the exact fine dining experience I expected. White table cloths, waiters dressed fancy, and small menu. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the food too! The food: I got a filet and mashed potatoes. It was very good but for that much money, I would rather go to a cheaper place a few times. I did get cheesecake for dessert and it was very good! It was walking distance from my hotel but they had a huge parking lot too. If I was here on business then I would visit again. ”

“ Hendrick's Tavern is a traditional comfortable old school style restaurant with accents of its long-standing building history. From what I read, it is in the restored estate home of Hendrick Onderdonk, built 1740. The main dining room is decorated with classic photographs, antiquities, and leather seating. The George Bar, named for a one-time visitor George Washington, has flat screen TV's and traditional old style bar seating. The bar resembled a saloon, or as one might call a cantina, or bughouse. Better a gin mill. We were at Hendrix Tavern for Mother's Day, so it was quite crowded. All the rooms including the extended event dining areas were active with patrons. We ordered from the brunch menu and enjoyed appetizers such as grilled octopus, and zucchini eggplant chips along with pancakes, shrimp salad and bagel and lox platter. ”
